About Us

Born From a Deep Love for Community
Inspired by the legacy of the late Willie Goodyear — a lifelong resident whose passion for people left a lasting mark — Tim Heath saw an opportunity to bring that same spirit to life through action.
Together with his wife, Eva Patterson Heath, also a proud Red Springs native, that vision became reality in 2022 with the founding of RSFCS — a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rooted in service, connection, and purpose.
Since its beginning, RSFCS has focused on creating meaningful opportunities that promote historical awareness, educational growth, cultural appreciation, recreation, and health initiatives — all grounded in the needs and spirit of Red Springs and surrounding communities.
Our mission is to uplift the families, youth, and residents of Red Springs, NC — through community events, programs, and a shared belief that when we invest in each other, we all rise together.
Our Founding Purpose
Connect Families
Linking families with community resources, programs, and opportunities that help them thrive.
Inclusive Engagement
Promoting multigenerational participation across every corner of our community, no one left behind.
Preserve History
Honoring and celebrating the rich local history and cultural heritage that defines Red Springs.
Community Pride
Encouraging healthy lifestyles, civic pride, and a strong sense of belonging for all residents.
A Celebration That Brings Us Together
A cornerstone of RSFCS’s work is the annual Juneteenth Celebration — a powerful expression of unity, history, and culture.
What began through collaboration with Ellion McQueen has grown into one of the most meaningful community gatherings in Red Springs, now carried forward alongside the Robeson County Arts Council.
Each year, this celebration brings together residents of all ages to honor freedom, celebrate heritage, and create lasting memories through music, education, and fellowship.
